Some Gifts Sit on a Shelf. This One Has Moves.

For the sci-fi fan, the hands-on builder or the person who likes their desk decor with a little mechanical mischief. The MJI 13091 Mechanical Skeleton Robot Building Block Set turns 692+ pieces into a steampunk-inspired character with exposed gears, posable joints and an illuminated core.

Build the frame, choose a pose and operate the mechanism to give its chest and shoulders a rhythmic side-to-side twist. It's a project to get stuck into, followed by a striking display to show off. World domination is not included.

A Gift for Curious Minds and Sci-Fi Shelves

A fun birthday or Christmas present for builders aged 12+ and adult mechanical-model enthusiasts. If they enjoy seeing how things work, the open and transparent chest sections let them follow the orange, gold and silver gear details in action.

Give it a mechanical twist: A central gear train drives side-to-side upper-body movement.
Strike a sci-fi pose: Manually adjust the shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, hips, knees and ankles.
Add some character: Turn the pivoting head and position the jaw open or closed by hand.
Light up its inner workings: Internal lighting illuminates the visor and casts a glow through the mechanical rib cage.
Make it a shelf star: An approximately 30cm-tall build sits on a block-built base with a rear support frame.

Choose Their Kind of Hands-On

Hand Crank: Operate the torso mechanism manually. The electric motor add-on is not included with this version.
With Electric Motor: The compatible motor add-on operates the torso mechanism automatically.

This is a supported mechanical display model, not a free-walking robot. It does not automatically walk forward. Its limb, head and jaw poses are adjusted manually, separately from the driven torso movement.

Before You Gift It

Assembly is required, including the frame and gear system. Suitable for ages 12+ only, not younger children. Battery type, quantity and inclusion have not yet been confirmed, so check before gifting rather than assuming batteries are supplied. Follow the supplied assembly and power instructions.
